Apex for Youth empowers underserved Asian and immigrant youth from low-income families in NYC to unlock their potential and a world of possibility. Through programming focusing on health and well-being, education, and community engagement, Apex for Youth creates transformative social connections and celebrates cultural identity to build the confidence and self-efficacy of future generations.

Apex serves approximately 2,000 students annually from Kindergarten through their post-secondary years. We provide children and young adults with opportunities to develop strong relationships with adults who volunteer as consistent and caring mentors and role models.

 

JOB OVERVIEW

Apex for Youth is seeking an entrepreneurial and data-obsessed Growth Marketing Senior Manager to transform our outreach, support our programmatic growth and drive exponential impact. The ideal candidate will be a passionate changemaker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, combining a deep understanding of growth hacking principles with a data-driven approach to acquire, engage, and convert potential Apex community members and supporters to join and be lifelong advocates.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Growth (40%)

  • Build and scale a growth engine: Design and execute innovative growth marketing strategies that align with Apex for Youth’s mission and values, leveraging various channels and compelling content to exponentially help programmatic growth, increase our supporter base, and drive tangible social change.
  • Drive measurable impact: Utilize advanced data analytics to track and optimize every stage of the funnel, from acquisition and activation to retention and referral, maximizing conversion rates and achieving exponential growth across all platforms (social, email, website).
  • Maximize return on investment: Develop and manage a data-driven budget allocation strategy for maximum impact, ensuring that every dollar invested generates measurable social change. This includes experimenting with small paid campaign budgets on social media and search engines to identify high-performing channels and campaigns for potential scaling.


Data (40%)

  • Be a data evangelist: Champion the use of data and insights to drive decision-making at every level, empowering team members with the tools and knowledge they need to make data-driven decisions that drive growth.
  • Build and maintain a robust data infrastructure: Develop a comprehensive data collection and management system that integrates data from various sources, including social media platforms, Titan, Google Analytics 4, SEO tools, and Salesforce.
  • Analyze and interpret data: Utilize advanced data analytics tools to track, measure, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across all marketing channels and campaigns. Identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform growth strategies and optimization efforts. Regularly report on key growth metrics and impact outcomes to internal stakeholders, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.


Content creation (20%)

  • Create engaging content for multiple platforms: Produce high-quality, engaging content (social, web, email) that educates, inspires, and motivates our target audience. Experiment with different forms of content and iterate relentlessly, designing and implementing A/B tests across different marketing channels and content formats to unlock new growth opportunities and maximize our impact.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Entrepreneurial spirit: A passion for driving growth and creating impact, with a proven ability to think outside the box, take initiative, and overcome challenges.
  • Growth marketing expertise: 5+ years of experience in growth marketing, digital marketing, or a related field, with a demonstrated track record of achieving exponential growth in a non-profit or social impact environment.
  • Data wizardry: Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of data-driven marketing principles, with experience using advanced analytics tools to track, measure, and optimize marketing performance.
  • Tech forward: Must know the power of technology and tech systems to help build robust and efficient systems; and be comfortable working within Salesforce, CRM platforms, Mailchimp, donation management software (Classy), WordPress, Google Analytics 4, and social media platforms.
  • Leadership and collaboration:Foster a culture of collaboration, experimentation, and continuous learning with our programming and development teams.
  • Compelling communicator: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive narratives, create engaging content, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Digital and social media mastery: Deep understanding of digital and social media platforms, with experience developing and executing effective social media strategies to drive engagement and growth.
  • Resourcefulness and adaptability: Ability to work with limited budgets and resources, finding creative solutions to maximize impact and achieve ambitious growth goals.

 

Salary range: The salary range for this position is $80,000 – $95,000, depending on experience.

 

Overview of Benefits

Paid time off: In the first year of employment, employees are eligible for approximately a combined 40 days of vacation, holiday, personal, and sick leave (10 vacation days, 12 paid holidays, org-wide closures for one week over the winter holidays and one week during the Fourth of July, 5 sick days per year, 3 personal days a year). Additional vacation days accrue according to years worked in the organization.

Medical and other benefits: Employees are eligible to participate in a range of medical, dental and vision insurance plans with Apex covering the majority of the cost for employees; 401K plan with employer matching; flexible spending account; commuter benefits; paid parental leave; and professional development stipend. 

Hybrid workplace: Apex provides for a flexible remote work schedule on specific days of the week and requires employees to be on-site for other days of the week, and for special events and programs.
