What better way to celebrate spring than with a fun outdoor activity? Our Middle School Mentoring Program set out in Chinatown to complete a scavenger race, exploring the area, visiting well-known landmarks, and completing challenges at checkpoints.

We drew inspiration from hit TV show The Amazing Race and combined it with a traditional scavenger hunt, creating an exciting and educational session about Chinatown for the mentors and mentees. Students had to solve riddles about several landmarks in Chinatown, like the Museum of Chinese in America and Confucius Plaza, which gave them the clue to the next location. At each location they were tasked with completing a challenge which required teamwork and stepping out of their comfort zone. Check out some photos they had to use to complete the race below!
