We revived a past mentoring group activity last Saturday: snow tubing! The day started with a pizza lunch at P.S 1 in Chinatown before we ventured out to DropZone Snow Tubing Park at Mountain Creek in New Jersey. Upon arrival, our 86 mentors and mentees immediately hit the park, ascending up the hill on a “magic carpet” conveyor belt and racing down on inflated tubes. This was the first time snow tubing for many of our mentees and even some of our mentors; a few may have been scared at first…we won’t say who! Judging by all the smiling faces in our photos (and the positive feedback), everyone had a blast.
