Yie-Hsin Hung is the President and CEO of State Street Global Advisors, the investment management arm of State Street Corporation. She is also a member of State Street’s Executive Committee. She was most recently CEO of New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM), a role she held from 2015 to 2022. During her tenure with the firm, Yie-Hsin led NYLIM to achieve a nearly four-fold increase in assets through a combination of geographic expansion, organic initiatives and acquisitions. Yie-Hsin was a member of New York Life’s Executive Management Committee and its highest-ranking female operating executive. Prior to that, Yie-Hsin held various leadership positions at Bridgewater Associates and Morgan Stanley Investment Management. She began her career in Real Estate Investment Banking. In 2022, Yie-Hsin was named to Barron’s list of the 100 Most Influential Women in U.S. Finance and American Banker’s 25 Most Powerful Women in Finance. Yie-Hsin is a member of the Board of Trustees of Northwestern University and the Vice Chair of the Board of Governors of the Investment Company Institute, the asset management industry’s leading trade association. She previously served on the Board of the Turtle Beach Corporation (HEAR), MainStay mutual funds, NYLIM’s boutiques, and the non-profit boards of Next for Autism and the New England Center for Children, reflecting her commitment to children and adults with autism. Yie-Hsin earned her MBA from Harvard University and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University.
