An award-winning investigative reporter/anchor and one of the most recognizable faces on American television, Connie Chung has been a powerful force in the news industry for more than 40 years. On the lecture stage she draws on her unique experiences in addressing the challenges today’s women face, advocating diversity in the workplace, and inspiring younger journalists to make a difference in their local communities and worldwide. Connie was the first woman to co-anchor a major networks nightly news (The CBS Evening News), and the first Asian (Chinese) to anchor news at any network. In 2023, the New York Times Opinion Section carried a front-page story entitled “Generation Connie” in which she discovered an untold number of Asian parents named their baby daughters “Connie” after her. Connie never knew about her namesakes and could not fathom the impact she had made.
