Apex for Youth is all about connection, mentorship, and building a strong support system for our youth. We’re excited to launch a special initiative: the Apex Ambassador Program — running now through June 30, 2025.
As an Apex Ambassador, you’ll help us grow this community by recruiting friends, family, and colleagues to apply to volunteer.
Apex for Youth relies on the dedication of volunteers to help us serve more than 2,500 youth each year. But we need your help to reach even more youth in need.
In Queens, we have just 30 volunteers serving 665 youth.
In Brooklyn, we have 130 volunteers serving 558 youth.
Volunteering is even more meaningful when shared. When you invite others to join, you’re not only growing the Apex community — you’re helping to build a network of care, mentorship, and connection that lasts well beyond the moment.
An Apex Ambassador is someone who believes in the power of mentorship and community.

As I’ve grown older and moved to NYC, I’ve set a goal to connect more deeply with my Asian American heritage and community. Growing up in a suburban area, I didn’t have many Asian role models or access to programs like Apex for Youth. This opportunity has been truly meaningful, allowing me to give back and grow alongside the next generation. I first discovered Apex for Youth through the New York Road Runners website while researching charity bibs. I applied to become a mentor last year and was paired with Bernice. She shares many of my childhood interests, like art, reading, dogs, and butterflies.”
