ELEMENTARY PROGRAMS (K - 5th Grade)

Our Elementary Programs (K-5th grade) nurture our youth’s social skills and help them understand the power of belonging.

Program Options: Read with Apex, Explorers, Athletics, Winter + Spring + Summer Break, Mental Health Services

  • Locations: Chinatown, Manhattan OR Sunset Park, Brooklyn OR Flushing, Queens OR Virtual (K-2, Read with Apex only)
  • Dates: Saturdays, October – May
  • Youth Commitment: One full school year (Summer optional)
  • Youth Intake Season: Throughout the summer for October-May programming. For Summer programming, intake begins in the Spring.

MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAMS (6th - 8th Grade)

Our Middle School Programs empower youth to strengthen transformative relationships, recognize their unique strengths, and embrace their role as valued members of their community.

Program Options: 1:1 Mentoring, Athletics, Mental Health Services, Group Workshops

  • Locations: Lower East Side, Manhattan OR Sunset Park, Brooklyn
  • Dates: 2 Saturdays a month, September – June
  • Youth Commitment: Minimum 1 year, 75% attendance. Mentoring Program typically meets 2 times per month
  • Youth Intake Season: Summer

HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS (9th - 12th Grade)

Our High School Programs equip youth with the skills and support systems to shape futures that reflect their values, interests, and priorities. Through Apex, youth explore college and career pathways, gain real-world skills, and build confidence in their choices.

Program Options: 1:1 Mentorship, College Access Program, Career Exploration opportunities, Scholarship & Internship programs, Mental Health Services.

  • Locations: Lower East Side, Manhattan OR Virtual Mentoring Program (for nationwide participants).
  • Dates: 1-2 Saturdays a month, September – June
  • Youth Commitments:
    • In-person: Minimum 1 year, 75% attendance, 1 monthly workshop, 1 monthly mentor meetup
    • Virtual: Minimum 2 years, 75% attendance, 1 monthly virtual workshop, 1 monthly virtual mentor meetup.
    • College Access Program: Minimum 2 years, 75% attendance, bimonthly workshops per month.
  • Youth Intake Season: Summer

YOUNG ADULTS PROGRAMS (Apex Alumni)

Young Adult Programs provide ongoing support to help Apex alumni achieve their personal and professional goals, empowering them to reach their fullest potential.

Program Options: Career Connections Program and Alumni Support

  • Location: Lower East Side, Manhattan
  • Youth intake season: Summer
